Near the dam there are bungalows, and private lodgings offered in the adjacent villages. At the latter, an ethnographical complex was opened in 2006.

A very nice village 65km south of Varna and 30km from the coast. It has Municipal offices, a hospital, school, Church, post office, sports stadium and selection of shops. The village sits in open countryside with extensive veiws to the surrounding hills.
